I just installed an i7-920XM in my Asus G73JH, and nothing...no boot up, no BIOS, absolutely nothing.

Had some problems with the SATA cable during reassembly.

Is this no communication from the HDD problem?

    Is the CPU bad?

It could be a detached cable, but which one?

There might be a non-working G73JH for sale soon... I'm not hopeful so I will entertain offers...

check them all, if you can't do it, and reseating the processor and vid card doesn't work, put the old CPU in.

If that doesn't work, check everything again. Otherwise, you have a $1500 paperweight

This issue has happened before. Try taking out the RAM module underneath the keyboard and boot your laptop again.

That's what you get for not being satisfied with the way g73jh came, it is already a great machine, I dunno why you had to change the cpu and now you messed it all up lol, and now you about to sell it for the reason of you screwing up and giving the next owner of it the notebook problems.

Calm down. Jeez. It is his laptop. Let him do with as he pleases. No need to flame someone because he can upgrade something.

    Let's all be civilized.
