Would I just buy Newegg.com - Suggested Products
And should my downgraded version just have a open slot that I can put it into? I haven't taken the time to open up the bottom yet because I still have a accidental warrenty with them.

I think you're trying to upgrade the hd????
In any case, those are the wrong drives. You need a 2.5 inch sata drive, those you linked are 3.5 inch and are too big. You will have an open slot but no drive caddy so you will have to order one or use foam or ear plugs to hold the drive in place. -
I'm not trying to upgrade it, its just that I got the downgraded version that has only 1 500g harddrive instead of 2, i would like to add another onto the laptop. Do you know which laptop I need to get? And where would I shop for a drive caddy?

I believe you are talking about the Best Buy RBBX05 or the BST7. Both have an empty harddrive slot. You need a 2.5" SATA harddrive. I recommend a 7200 RPM one if you could afford it. The harddrive caddy doesn't come with the BB model but you can create your own using cardboard or foam.

Assuming you had around $100 US to spend you could get either;
A 750gb 7200 rpm drive
B 500 gb hybrid drive w/4gb SSD
C 64gb SSD
The SSD will be a huge boost to speed, so I would do that. But the hybrid drive is a good compromise. -
4GB SSD on the hybrid doesn't even fit Windows 7.

For the most part You don't choose which files go onto the SSD part of the hybrid drive. The drive automatically fills the 4gb with your most commonly used files. This results in a big increase in speed even though it is only 4gb (and most of those files are probably windows 7 files). As your usage changes different files will be moved on and off the SSD part of the drive. Don't think of it as two drives. It is one drive with a REALLY big cache.
