    920XM.

You will need to do a complete disassembly and re-apply the thermal compound when changing the CPU.

If you are within warranty it will mean breaking the warranty seal, if you are not it does not matter if you break it.

    my warranty has ended currently.

I can get the 920xm for around $288 US for QS, is that cheap enough?

Do I have to OC it the processor?
(Coz Im still a newb at OC so I dont really know what it is and afraid to make it *BOOM*.)

and for the thermal compound, I found ICD24. is that good enough or should I stick with ICD7?

Have a read through this http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus-gaming-notebook-forum/565573-920xm-purchase.html. It explains my newbness before purchasing and it explains a lot.

The QS is fine and the price sound about right.

You do not have to overclock it but you will want to as it can produce amazing results if you learn how to use Throttlestop. At stock it will run at 2ghz but you can have it running up to 3.2ghz.
