I just thought I'd provide this data with everyone else:
Three Trials, Same Place and Position, Atheros AR9285 v.s. Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6200

    Speed Test:
    Before upgrading (Atheros AR9285)
    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
    Average Download: 2.67Mb/s Upload: 0.30Mb/s

After upgrading (Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6200)
    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
    Average Download: 2.94Mb/s Upload: 0.31Mb/s

    Bar Test:
    Before upgrading (Atheros AR9285)
    4 Bars

After upgrading (Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6200)
    5 Bars

    Improvement in speed: ~10%

    Disclaimers:

    • I think my internet might be capped at 3Mb/s
    • Other people on the same network might have affected the outcome
    • Yes, I know my internet kinda sucks loll

If anyone have any data of their own feel free to post them. I'll see if I can do another test on a faster ISP later.

...and that's just internet. Where the 6200 shines over the Atheros is on a wireless-N/Gigabit LAN router doing transfers to/from other machines on the same network. :)
