    hey there i know how to take it apart and i am computer savoy but i need to know if this..
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M 1.5GB GDDR5 VRAM - Asus | eBay

    Will fit in my g71gx i have a gtx260m thats very overclocked and the cpu is too but i want to future proof my self some more.. I mean worse case scenario i will happily buy a new lappy but i just want to see if this could be a nice alternative besides its only 250.
    Its a asus card so it will probably fit.

    nope its mxm3 card, wont work in the mxm2 slot.

    g51,g60,g71,g72 is all limited to a gtx 260m

    Almost true, a regular MXM 2.1 card won't work either because it's not an MXM 2 slot, but a reversed MXM 2 slot... the only card that works is the Asus 260m from the G71.

    Look at the card and you should see why... :
