    Urgent Display Issue!!! Urgent Really

    Hello folks. MY Asus g73 was heating alot so i gave it to a service where they fixed the issue.

    However now my display is no 1080p.

    When i go to control panel the native is 1600*900
    I cant selet 1080p at all...

    I formatted my laptop ( i always wanted to do it to get rid of blotware anyway)

    I installed everything and the problem is still there...

    The thing is when they were fixing the issue of overheating, the guy told me that they could not get the display working and it had all of a sudden stopped working, but the next day they claimed that the problem was solved and it was their mistake...

    Is it possible that they somehow damaged a circuit or something?

    The computer is running flawlessly but 1080p is not there. It is only 900p on any resolution settings.

    Any ideas what is my problem?

    On NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL, my display is cPATH

    is that right?

    I really need urgent help before i go back to that place tomorrow.

    Sounds like they switched out your 1080p panel for a 900p lcd panel. I'd tell them they made a mistake and have them switch it back out for what you're supposed to have.

    Ask them if they changed onus display. If they say no, then lose your cool. If they say they did, keep your cool and tell them they installed the wrong display panel. If they say they did not, lose your cool. Go mad.

    Here is what happened.

    The guy accidentely plugged my full HD laptop screen to a wrong part in the laptop, so the display got broken. He didnt tell this to his boss, and ordered a new 17.3 inch screen and paid it himself. However the new screen was a cheap screen and was only 900p while mine was 1080p...

    I talked to the boss today, and the highest ranked technician. They apologized a million times and said that they didnt know it at all. They ordered me a new 1080p screen which will arrive on monday and will be replaced.

    The guy who made the mistake was scared and took 3 days off work. He also is a heart patient, which made me feel bad and sorry for the kid. His boss was a bit angry to that guy, not because he broke the screen but because he didnt tell anything. He also said that if he had told, his company's insurance would have covered it.

    So problem is solved for now. Gotta wait until Monday.

    Wow now THAT'S bad service. They should update your video card to a 560m or fill your laptop with 16 gigs of ram for the inconvience. It's good you caught onto it early and not waited a week because maybe than they would have denied ever seeing you before.
