Using 32" LCD Monitor with Laptop

I was using this monitor hooked to my G73 by HDMI and it seems text is smaller when I do this on forums as to when I go to same forum with desktop PC using same monitor

Is this normal or am I missing something??

IF the resolution is set the same on both computers then the text S/B the same on the monitor. Do both fill the entire screen?
On my laptop the resolution is set to native, 1920 X 1080 what is your G73 set to when connected? Hope this helps

Is your desktop set for 125% for the "Appearance" setting in Windows? I run my G73 at that setting because the text is too tiny for my liking otherwise. If your laptop is set for 100% and your desktop 125% it would explain the difference.

Also, if you are using Internet Explorer (which I don't) then the zoom setting in the lower right corner of the IE window may be set for 125% on one computer and 100% on the other.
