Oh man... just spilled a decent amount of water on my laptop, and its making me go nuts

I spilled water on the keyboard, so I had it upside down and shook it, and finished it off with a few wipe of towels.

And after a while, I realized the middle 1/3 portion of the LED Screen is striped.

If I see a perfectly white screen, it doesn't show. But when I have dark images, only the middle portion is brighter than the others. I think I might have damaged the screen somehow
How am I supposed to deal with this? Other stuff are working totally fine.

    Please, help me :(

Sign up for the accidental damage warranty then make a claim.

If water has gone into the laptop through the keyboard you really need to get inside and dry it out, water and electric = short circuit.

There is probably water in one of the connections that leads to the screen if the connection are similiar to the G73 one of the main screen connections is right below the keyboard.

Might be a good idea to think about doing a disassembly if you are confident and have a look at the guides, get in and dry everything and all the connections.

Otherwise if you are within warranty or as above Tito mentions an accidental damage claim then go for that instead.

The easiest thing to do would be to make an accidental warranty claim on it.

If you don't have the accidental damage warranty on your model, you can try cleaning the LVDS connector with some alcohol.

Unfortunately in the first place you should have removed the battery and AC power from the laptop and let it sit for a couple of days, ideally in front of a room fan.

    Thanks guys!
I think I'll try disassembling the laptop and drying out as much water as I can
I'm pretty sure it's gonna be rough to go through the accident warranty and take a long time...
Are there any disassemble guides online?

if it didn't shut down when you spilled water you could try to let it dry completely (like overnight) and then powering it again.. good luck
