    This was published at Gamestar.de

They compare GTX460, GTX460M, 5870 and 5870M and the winner in mobile of course was:

The state both g73 were Core i7 720qm and only in Farcry2 (the way meant to be played) the 460m outperform over the 5870. So far 5870m outperform the 460m.

Lets the fanboy war begins .... :D

That means I don't to be jealous of the new G series owners, yet. And I don't have to pine away for a new laptop when mine is only seven months old. :)

Not me. I get enough abuse in here. No need to get tossed out of anyone else's forums. :)

    :D

Let's hope the new BETA--> Certified VBIOS doesn't cripple performance, and now AMD/ATI can *unlock* more power out of her.

Sadly, (but good for the green team) the same can be said for them as drivers mature.

well like i said , GTX460M= no hope against 5870M... its not suprising that GTX460M was better in far cry 2 .. after all it is an NVIDIA game..

That website is obviously in the pockets of Nvidia. Almost every game is either an Nvidia Meant To Be Played partner or uses PhysX.

But I think you should be asking this instead.

How come for desktop HD5870, a $400 card has almost identical performance as a $700-800 card GTX480?

How come for mobile uses, a $350 HD5870M has nearly the same performance as a $900-1000 GTX 480M?

How come a GTX 460M which costs more than a HD5870M still can't keep up?

how much could you really expect the 460m's performance to increase with new drivers?

I am a little skeptical about this website, i would believe it if other major reviews will post benchmarks comparing 460m to 5870m
