    I have a g73Jh and the problem I have is that when in full screen games, I have an application that pops up and starts taking in my key strokes. I know it is not a keylogger because it has been on the laptop ever since I got it. Anyone know what this is so I can uninstall it?

    It is the grey box that pops up directly above the taskbar, and I have not been able to track what process it is running in.

    if you are saying it takes your key stroke then it is a key logger. Try to uninstall it maybe?

    I had this happen to me once.

    Go to your keyboard settings and get rid of all but English.

    It's installed alongside one of the asus recovery/update/system tools. I don't remember which one, but it adds pop-ups when you use some of the function keys ... and an additional language.

    If it's a key logger it would be hidden.

    @OP
    Check your setting or try right clicking it. I encountered something like that before and was easily removed.

    There are some key loggers where you can see the icon, but mostly they're password protected.

    While I looked at my keyboard settings and it also had Chinese installed. I removed that language and I haven't had problems since, however the problems where sporadic and didn't always happen. So hopefully it is done now.

    I got this annoying thing when I installed Adobe CS5. it appears to be there to let you save files in nonstandard characters (like chinese)

    It happens really frequently if you have a second language installed... for some reason, it's nearly impossible to get rid of the extra language pack.
