So I'm playing SW:TOR right now cause I got into early game access, about an hour into the game I get blue-and-white bars on my screen. I can hear the music in the background but nothing else, I try to alt+tab, alt+escape, ctrl+alt+delete my way out but nothing happens and then the music starts stuttering and I have to hold the power button down on my laptop.

Same thing happens with Skyrim except it's green-and-brown bars on the screen.

I"m on a G73JH-RBBX05 gaming laptop. I'm using the latest drivers.

    Driver Packaging Version 8.911-111025a-128246C-ATI
    Catalyst Version 11.11
    Provider AMD
    2D Driver Version 8.01.01.1207
    Direct3D Version 7.14.10.0873
    OpenGL Version 6.14.10.11251
    Catalyst Control Center Version 2011.1025.2231.38573

I take it your not using stocked vbios with that 11.11 driver and have got Video BIOS Version: 012.020?

have you tried going back to 11.10, I've been using that and it works perfect. try that or update if your feeling lucky try the new 11.12 it got released this week. I would bet it's 11.11 as it's reported that it's a bit buggy.

It's the GSOD, the Grey Screen of Death. You need to flash your VBios.

Go to the "Read Before Posting Thread" and click the link for the "How To Fix Your GSOD Blue" thread.

    two links,

plus the asus has it's own site for this fix.

You should check your system bios and update it first before hand to 211 or 213 the latest. then you should have little problems getting your system up and running. I would very much recommend you uninstall your drivers and use Clear install again once you've updated the vbios just incase there is some hidden settings that are not switched on.

If you link to the asusrog.com link, you'll find a video going over the whole flashing process. You will need a bootable USB stick, and the primary download has the tools for that, plus the win98 bootables you need.

    G73Jh GSOD Vbios Update

Just follow the instructions, and it should take about 2 minutes top.
