Well as far as I can see, the G75-BBK5 is probably the best deal I've looked at for $1,250 on and off the internet.

I've gotta say, I'm jealous. :p It's definitely built like a beast and just shouts 'quality'. ^_^ Makes me want one.

I was wondering what the catch was with the Besy Buy model but I couldn't spot it in the specs. 1080p, i7-3610QM, 660M, 8GB, 1TB HDD, etc. I mean, it was stacked nice and well. o.o I assume the HDD is the weakpoint? Anyone know? Because that can be easily rectified. :D

660m compared to the 670m which isn't really a downside based on benchmarks.

If you are replacing your Alienware do not bother, you have the 6970M which will own the 660M not to mention you have the one screen everyone wants the 1920x1200 RGB.

I don't know about the g75, but with the g74 best buy models, they had the crappier 560. I don't know if it's the same thing here.

Not double not anywhere near. You chaps with the 5870M do not need to worry it really is more an upgrade for those who are seeking a cooler model with more battery life because of optimus, the JH will keep rocking for another year.

It appears that the 5870 will be much more than adequate for several years to come - large PC graphics have traditionally "jumped" with new consoles. Since we won't see a new console for a few years yet, and even when we do, it'll be another year or so before developers catch up to the increase ... anyone who bought a laptop in the last year or so will have it stay "top-of-the-line" (or almost) for at least another year.
