NCIX seems to be pretty good about stock. When I ordered my G73 from them pretty much all their facilities showed a ton of stock of the A1 and A2 models. NCIX was also the first to list the Asus 3D monitor when it launched while Newegg was about a week or so behind for canadians.

NCIX and pccanada had the jh listed on preorder for months, they got them in stock in the same week (maybe even same day). Honestly if you're eager to get it quicker go with an american reseller (gentech), it'll be slightly cheaper in most cases too.

Americans ALWAYS get stuff first, even if it's only a week ahead. CBSC can't charge duty on computers due to nafta so you are pretty much safe there, you just have to work out shipping and tax (which you'd need to do in canada anyway).

Bah, I'm gonna go with gentech xoticpc or powernotebooks. Us Canadians usually get overcharged on these things, more than just the simple currency exchange rates. Plus, I don't see any Canadian resellers that have preorders on the G73jw, and I don't want to wait a week or two till they show it in stock.

I recommend shopping US for technology. For example, I've saved quite a bit shopping for my accessories on newegg/ebay and laptops on GenTechPC. Canadian retailers, for the most part, tend to price hike items by 10-30%.

Actually, buying anything in Canada is a rip off. I got my entire back to school outfits (for 5 days) for about 350$ ...here, it would of cost me close to 1000$ for the same brand name stuff. Hell, even buying a new car here is a rip off.
