i see people saying i will buy an SSD , i guess it is some kind of hard drive ?
what will do to my system ?
what are the benifits of getting an SSD , and will my laptop Support it ?
my laptop is G72GX-RBBX05 .

An ssd is a "solid state drive" It is a storage drive that's consisted of flash memory.
Baseline: Quicker/Nimbler/Faster than a traditional spinning hdd. More energy efficient and much more durable. Also more expensive.

Also: If you are looking to purchase an ssd be wary of the cheaper ones. Remember that you get what you pay for. Make sure it supports TRIM (Google it). It is not entirely necessary that you open a thread based upon general topic questions. It would be better if you did your own personal research and then came here for refinement and clarification. -
in short:
extremely fast hard drive.
Faster transfer, write and read rate, like you can open programs a lot faster.
Small volume, EXPENSIVE (extremely), very short life span (last probably 2 years or 3 years), cheaper ones may lose data if the power supply got cut off. -

LOL "expert" expert is a exclusion of expert... anyways you should beable to have it in any notebook just make sure its sata not ide ok? Yeah please research then come here.. we arent teachers you know!

yup... no TRIM is killer.. anyways anyone know how TRIM works? My ssd's becomming slower and its irritating..
