    Just like the topic says. I searched here and google and other than ambiguous posts saying theyre running a sata 3 drive on a sata 2 interface or other bs,1 nothing I can find is definitive.

    Definitely all notebooks with a 2. gen iCore-CPU supports Sata3. Better to say, all with HuronRiver Chipset.
    This would be G53/G73 since SW and the new G74.
    But you can use a Sata3-SSD on a Sata2 interface too. It's backward compatible.
