Whats the difference? I just upgraded to 211 and almost bricked it, I never upgraded vbios probably because i didnt know what it was...is it worth to upgrade? how do it upgrade, is it through flash utility or via USB in bios?
Is it as risky to upgrade vbios than it is to upgrade bios?

VBIOS = video bios, what you graphics card uses at its lowest level to initialize and flip bits in its hardware.

Oh, depends... if you're getting lots of GSOD or if you just want a better VBIOS I'd go for Chastity or HellCry's VBIOS, I've used the both with great results.

To do it safely just follow the advice of many people here and do a full format of a FAT USB stick (not a quick format which skips bad blocks checks) and follow the directions carefully. The process shouldn't take more than a few seconds, it's the preparation that will take a bit of time.

If you don't have any problems or can't see a reason to upgrade, or just don't care, it's the same thing as with BIOS, if it ain't broke don't fix it. :)

great answer...although i dont have any GSOD problem, upgrading a bios does fix some issues like it did with my CPU high temps, but hey, like you said, it aint broken so i wont fix it

BIOS 211 lowered the temperature threshold to increase fan speeds. As such, the fans spin up at lower temps, which should ideally keep temps lower while causing your laptop to be a bit louder.

If you don't have any GSOD and you are afraid of bricking, don't bother, but the process to update vBIOS is easier than the regular BIOS.
