Hi there guys what should I do after buying new laptop, means how can I check if all the hardware is working fine and nothing is faulty? Any tests?

One of the first things I would do at this point (assuming everything seems ok) is make a backup image of the system and save it somewhere. Never worry about re-installing Windows and drivers etc. Keep making images whenever necessary.
But I would just check every major system for functionality first. If you have to ask this question, I would assume your lcd screen, vga card, keyboard, touchpad, lights, buttons, and lan connections are all fine. Use Windows System Properties to be sure all of your RAM and drives are located. Check your Device Manager to verify there are not problems noted with any hardware device. Check your Windows System and Application logs (in Computer Management) to verify there are no unusual software errors being noted.amir786_z likes this. -

You can also check benchmark performance with programs like 3DMark, and monitor temps with something like HWMonitor. Granted that you got a gaming notebook, what model did you get?

Thanks Billy. I will go through that.
Thanks Hutsady. I have Asus G750JS. Will try 3d mark. Any other benchmarks you suggest? -

You can use Prime95 to check CPU temps, its not so much a benchmark but stress test so do expect high temps when running it, but not over 95C. Once you've done that, 3DMark, and and what billyray suggested I would call it good and get to enjoying the computer

You could also run a quick storage benchmark like crystal disk mark.
