    I have 2 ASUS G75's

    First ASUS G75
    i7-3610QM 2.3GHz
    GTX 670M

    Second ASUS G75
    i7-3630M 2.4GHz
    GTX660M

Which one is better to keep? They both have everything else the same, with the exceptions of the processor and the graphics card.
Which one should I keep, I will not be moving this laptop and they will be stationary in a room for gaming, I will not be transporting it everywhere, and I will be using a laptop cooler.

I know the 670M consumes more energy, and produces more heat, but has better performance I believe. The 660M has lower energy consumption and lower performance compared to 670M. And of course the slower processor is the 3610QM but it has the 670M while the better processor has the 3630QM with the 660M.

I will be using the laptop for gaming such as Skyrim, Dishonored, League of Legends, and Diablo III.

So which one should I keep? Inputs anyone please?

Get the one with the better GPU, the CPU in either one is good enough for basically everything so that's pretty even.

The 660M is very slow for a 60 class name, the 670 is the older fermi design but has a lot more horsepower behind it.

Since your main goal is gaming you want the better video card which is the first one. The different CPU's wont make much if any noticeable difference in performance but the video card will.

Also note the cpu can be easily upgraded and the gpu can't.

The 660M is a better performer and overclocker compared to the Fermi 670M, and runs cooler.

Not arguing the point, just saying that I'm surprised to hear this, as the 670M in the VX models was thought to be an upgrade from the 660M in the VW models by most folks (and I admit I have no clue).

I'm sorry but you are wrong on this one, the 660M performs similarly to the 560M only it runs cooler. the 670M (or 570M which are the same chip) is faster.

Tough choice. 670m is fermi from my understanding...uses a lot more heat and power. 660m...newer architecture(not sure) / Kepler based I think...so it provides a better balance of performance, battery life, and thermals. Might outperform the 670m when Overclocked though. A 1200mhz clock on a gtx660m is typical on a g series laptop without breaking a sweat.

I ended up sticking with the 660M, I don't play any intense games really, I play Diablo III and that's the game I currently have that uses the best graphics.

I play BF3, and some Skyrim here and there.

The 670M can get to around 800mhz, at that point you have 384 shaders on the 660M running at 1200mhz and 336 shaders running at 1.6ghz on the 670M. The 670M is then able to use it's 192bit mem bus and higher number of ROPs to take the lead.
