I've been lurking the forums and watching as all of the G73 issues slowly get addressed by Gary and his crew. Kudos to him for getting a list together and attacking that list with what appears to be a pretty nice success rate!
My question is this... I have yet to spring for this laptop but it has me chomping at the bit. Does anyone have any idea if/when these new fixes (vBios, keyboard light fix, synaptics (soon to come hopefully), and any others) will be included on newly manufactured units?
I want to buy this laptop but obviously would love to get a new unit that has all of these new fixes already installed so I don't have to go through the process of applying all of these fixes on my own (not that I couldn't but given the choice I would obviously rather they already be there).
Lastly, is there any chance that ASUS will be improving the thermal pasting process in newly manufactured units?
Any official responses (Gary?) or educated guesses from any of the seniors around here would be greatly appreciated.
TIA!

It will be quite awhile (2 months maybe) before all these fixes get filtered into the stock in the public, if ever.
