    Hello everyone,

I have a pretty good knowledge about thermal pastes (brands/types), but I know almost nothing about good thermal pads. I'm going to do some re-pasting on a few of video cards and notebooks that I have and will need to replace thermal pads as well. Therefore, I would like to gather some info on this.

People, please be so kind to post two things:

    1) Brand/model of best thermal pads that you know/have used.
    2) Online store(s) where you bought the pads.

    Here you go

    Frozencpu.com

Never really known anyone who hasn't purchased thermal pads from them.

Thanks a lot for replying, guys. Seems like there is quite a large choice of pads at the frozencpu. What about brand/type of pads? Are there any "leaders" here kind of like IC7, MX-3, AS-5 in thermal paste world?

Are thermal pads required to repaste the GPU on the G73JH, or only the thermal paste?

It's not "required", especially if the pads are looking ok, but I personally would like to replace pads with new (possibly better ones) in order to lower temps as much as possible. Also, one of pads on my laptop seems squished, misaligned, and messed up.
