So i would have issues with a GPU FAN? And by the way i have overclocked 920xm, a targus 180w would be enough for overclocked 920xm and a stock 6970?

Dunno, but i can tell you for certain that the fans work as they should with a eurocom card.

Well, mine worked in my G73 before i fried the card, look at both 6970m threads, i'm pretty sure someone is running one without issues right now.

Be careful buying from Eurocom the dead 6970M could easily be relating to them and there are a lot of horror stories that appear on the Clevo forum. It could easily be their 6970M's that have the problem Tijo and not your G73, you could have got a bad card and any other attempt will be successful.

then dont upgrade if you have problems,
100% fan and some other problems are common when upgrading to 6970m if you want to be problem free you should not upgrade.

Well as the 6790 is not supported my asus it is common to have problem.

Celvo/Eurocom will have fan speed but will be missing HDMI support (If @tilla has not figured a fix out)
Dell will have HDMI but has a minimal fan speed change 4200-4500RPM. The speed is not a constant 100% it just seems to be read wrong by the EC.

Looks like Clevo would be the better choice if HDMI is not much have and you always use your laptop screen. the 100% fan speed on Dell 6970M could be very very annoying.

For Clevo 6970M you can buy it from Sager.

FYI: HDMI (picture) for Clevo 6970m works with DELL vBIOS. Weird, but successfull. Only issue is missing sound over HDMI.

I'd buyed my card from a Clevo P150HM owner.

6990 costs 450 + shipping ~80 bucks → same picture, not worth it :D plus i should buy a good PSU like alienware 240W (its again money), because i have 920XM @ 3,2Ghz, and i surely would OC 6970.

Result: not worth it at all.... 500 bucks its just 1/3 cost of the new laptop
