I need something other than the stock LEDs to verify that the mobo is receiving power. I have a multimeter ready, but haven't been able to find an answer as to where to use it haha.

Background is my laptop has a corrupted BIOS, which is why I can't use the stock LEDs.

    Thanks!

I'm looking for something a little further downstream, like actually on the mobo. I know my power brick is good, as I've tested it w/ my G74.

Ok? so if you pulled out the motherboard and plugged in your power then tested the same 2 pins on the motherboard. That wouldn't show if the motherboard has power?

Read the tutorial, it says to test both the adapter and the connection at the motherboard.
