Is there any website or vendor that would be receiving the A1 this week and that does not have a mile long back order list? I would like to order one but it seems that everyone is still booked until april time frame.

Someone posted on another forum that the new date is March 31st for their arrival. Rumors continue to spread.

I just ordered one last night from a place that says they will ship tomorrow and saturday depending on which warehouse it comes from. He assured me that they have enough to cover my order and that it will ship. I guess I will find out in 3 days if he was lying or not
-
Where is it? I am going to order from them:confused.
My seller is not that positive...
-
I realize they could be just trying to make a sale, but I was already in a bad situation with the Microcenter backorder so I had nothing to lose. It sounds like they are a small company with a few allotments and no pre-orders so it was easier to get in on the first order. I even googled them and found thier website so they are a "real" company, deals with a lot of electronics from the looks of it. I will add that he was very quick to respond to my questions before I ordered. As I said I guess if I don't get a tracking number this week I will know I was lied to.

Your brave to be ordering from ebay. Something that expensive I will only trust to a known store.
Hope you get your laptop and are not screwed over. -
Hehe, I've sold 10's of thousands of dollars worth of laptops on there myself.
I've never had to use the ebay protection, paypal protection or the protection I get with my credit card but I feel at least as protected as I am through any other website.
I actually prefer ebay, not only is the payment much more secure (no more random sites with my credit card info floating around) but also no sales tax and sometime the pricing is even better. -
Thanks for your info.
But for warranty, do we have to buy G73 from an authorized ASUS dealer?
I don't think this ebay guy is, can we still get 2 years warranty if we buy it from this guy? -
i tried them out, $1675 plus 8% bing cash back. brings it to $1541, which isn't bad if they actually have them.
-
I was sure I saw that they were an ASUS dealer. I am at work so I can't find it now but will try ot remember when I get home.
-
Guys, be careful!
I checked ASUS website, but this ebay seller doesn't seem to be on the list of authorized ASUS dealers.
The list is here,

Neither is Microcenter, the seller of interest in a different thread and that doesn't seem to be discouraging them. But, I agree you should know whether the warranty is honored before taking the plunge.
-
Well I don't have the info here at work but it did say 2 year ASUS warranty plus 1 year accidental damage warranty.

Sorry, previous info about mwave was incorrect. I was trying to read my paypal emails from my cell phone and mwave was where I bought an extra ac adapter. You are correct rivacom, laventer llc was the pay to name. -
laventer.com Is more of a engineering consultant/Reseller from everything from cad items to Audio Engineering it looks.
They might resell under another name.
However mine says [email protected], I don't see MWV anywhere. -
Update for anyone wondering. They got backordered by Asus, and they are authorized Asus retailer(as per them) so We'll see what happens. I'm assuming other companies got the (example: Microcenter) got the notice too that nothing would be sent out until March 13th.
-
So with the delay from my vendor, anyone have/know someone who will ship this week? Or has gotten any?
-
Try agearnotebooks.com ... they might have some A2's left and are getting new A1's soon and dont have a very long backorder list
I ordered my A2 from them a few days back, should have it by Friday
They're listed as a seller on yahoo shopping, you can check their ratings there, they were also on the Asus where to buy list iirc -

guys
NOBODY has these. Asus is tied up with production for bestbuy. We have filled about a quarter of our preorders in the last 3 weeks. Unless you have a preorder out do not expect to find any dealer (small dealers particularly) to have any in stock for new orders. Newegg was the only exception for about 24 hours and that did not last long. Bestbuy would likely be the only place to have on hand tons of the watered down version -
So if one was to order through you they can still get the next release from Asus that you get? Is that 3/13?
thanks
Where to get the Asus G73jh-A1?
