    I hate the 2.xx versions as they require you to have the Turbo Boost also running in the task bar and if you close it the gadget is closed

    Where can I get the 1.xx version that is compatible with the i7 Ivy Bridge?

    What do you mean that they require you to run it in the taskbar? Did you try check CPU core clocks with Core Temp or CPU-z with Turbo Boost thing closed?

    Or do you mean that you want to keep the Gadget open but it's also listed in the taskbar?

    Exactly, the gadget doesn't work unless it was running in the taskbar as well :(

    v1 you only have the gadget without the taskbar
