    The reason I ask is my machine locked and this was the error in the system log. Plus... the other day the machine lost connection to D and F drive, which in disk management is listed as disk 1. If the problem was the same both times can I assume IdepPort0 is disk1. It seems kind of odd that disk 1 would be port 0... Please advise...

    Disk 1 is probably port0. Is there is a disk 0? I wonder why it's listed in IDE as well.
