I will be receiving my Asus G53JW sometime today and was wondering what nvidia driver does everyone recommend for the GTX460M? Should I just use the most recent on Nvidia's website, 260.99?

265.66 is the most current and seems to address a few issues. You can find it on on Asus' site with some digging, or hit my Driver's Page. (see sig)
-
Thanks, are those beta drivers? I ask because the latest driver on nvidia website is 260.99 and the latest beta version is 266.35
-
I do not know, since I do not have a GTX460M machine atm. It is however an official Asus release.
-
Thanks, where is it on the ASUS website? The lastest I see is 259.19?

See "Driver and Application Reference for G73/53" link in sig

If you want 265 you can see on laptoptopvideo2go. I personally would stick to what's on Nvidia's or Asus' site. But if you want to experiment then laptopvideo2go would be it. But even there I would stick to mobile drivers not mobile mods from Desktops.

How come Chastity says it's an offical ASUS release? Did he grap it from laptopvideo2go? I currently have it installed but now I'm thinking of going back to official Nvidia driver 260.99

Because Chastity knows how to find driver releases on Asus' site better than all of you apparently.

I appreciate the replay Chastity, but why is it not easily found on ASUS's website and how did you even find that?
-
There are 2 ways to search: by device model, or by driver and application. I do it by the latter.

select notebook, then G53, then G53JW and it will pop up with OS selection select it.
The driver on nVidia's site is 260.99 however I have installed the one from Asus site that shows 261.14 why does nVidia show 260.99 being the update driver and not 261.14
Which driver for GTX460M
