So I put this game up for some time.

I used to play it on my desktop and PS3 and was used to the solid fluid gameplay, especially on max settings (desktop).

Then I bought the G73, and the performance was obviously not equal to my deceased desktop powerhouse.

I was a little upset and tried to deal with not being able to play it the way I used to, and I put the game away for a bit.

Not until last week did I try it again and HOLY CRAP.

Max settings and it's butter? What happened? Was it a combination of drivers/game patches? It's night and day, not even joking.

Did anyone else notice this? Did I miss a huge announcement that they turned down the suck?

I'm not holding my breath for BC3, but that's obviously using new tech that the G73 will likely not be as best matched.

It was drivers that I noticed fixed the game for me and it will probably be the same with BC3 however the G73 is a beast and should have no problem at all with BC3 on at least high settings when it is released.

That would be good news.... Now that I finally can play BC2 the way I want to, I need to actually play and get better.

Amazing the way drivers can change things.

Are you on steam? If so, lets exchange id's.

I'm mostly recon/assault. I've dabbled with the medic and engineer, but not quite my play style.

I either like to run and gun, or sit and wait.

I recently started playing BC2 also and noticed too that it is running very smooth lately.

Its nice to actually have time to play games on my G73 again.

I mentioned this in the 11.4 drivers thread. It literally doubled my FPS in BC2 @1080p. It's amazing.

Yup. I'd check 'em out if I were you. Just make sure you get the mobility version. Amazing performance increases for me.

I'm still @ Catalyst 10.11 with no issues even with the most recent games. But it seems that preview 11.4 does give BC2 an FPS boost...

guess its time to finally update.

    I'll do this for sure.

Any tips prior to install? Over top old, or uninstall old first?

I just wish BFBC2 didn't hard lock my system all the time. :(

    I've tried literally everything.

Uninstalled Creative, updated Realtek, went back to prior drivers.

Oh well, Playing Medal of Honor now..

I never did the driver sweeping thing. I just install right over the old. Always worked fine for me. Anytime I driver sweep I get problems.
