I've been in and out of my G73JH-BST7 several times over the past year (repasting CPU/GPU mainly...but upgrading to the 940XM, maxxing out the memory to 16GB, etc..) and I have recently had an issue of the screen not working. When I say it's "not working" I mean that I can hear windows start up, the keyboard lights come on, etc, but there is nothing on the display. I took the computer apart again and reassembled everything and it worked again for about 3 months, and now I can not get it to come back on at all. The computer will still start and boot to windows like normal.
It was so frustrating (and I needed a working laptop ASAP) that I went out and bought a refurbished G73JH-BST7 from tigerdirect.com.
Anyway, I believe that I have damaged the cable that goes from the back of the LCD screen to the motherboard. Is there a place online that I can buy parts for this computer, or should I contact Asus directly? The warranty is void (willingly), so I'm willing to purchase the part I damaged to get this working.
Thanks in advance.

You might have had a sticker on it with a part number, if we have that we can check for good prices. ASUS will surely charge you much more.

Asusparts will be able to sort you out fella.

OK. Thanks for the help. In the mean time I sent an RMA/Service Order request and haven't heard back. Thanks!
Will Asus sell just a video cable for the G73JH?
