This just says 17", in that case it would be tight. The G75 is a 17.3" and with the ASUS design it's thicker and taller towards the back. I would be careful buying this particular bag.

Thanks for helping! Do you think the Targus XL will be too big for a 5'7" skinny frame person?

Nope, it's fine. I'm about the same height and it looks pretty normal, as long as you don't stuff it like a camping rucksack.

    Thread revival! :)

Looking for a backpack/case for a G75. I would really like something sturdy/solid case. My ideal solution would be a backpack which includes a solid case (Peli has something similar but too small for the G75)

Can you recommend any sturdy backpacks or any opinions on this case: Pelican Watertight Hard 17" Deluxe Notebook Computer Case 1495-003-110 Would it fit the G75 snugly?

    laptop demensions: 41.5 x 32.0 x 1.7 ~5.2 cm
    Case dimensions: 47.9 x 33.3 x 9.7 cm

    Conclusion: It fits !

It's been a long time since 17" machines have been around, 17.3" is a standard now so "17" " bags should fit 17.3" machines.

Whatever the case, I would go for an 18 inch bag for any of the G7X series laptops. I have a significantly roomy Samsonite 17.3" bag, and my G73 still pokes out of one of the corners. Instead, I use of of these: Amazon.com: Everki Beacon Laptop Backpack with Gaming Console Sleeve, Fits up to 18-Inch (EKP117NBKCT): Electronics

The bag 'issue' with the G series as a whole is the intake fans on the units, as they increase the depth significantly, and while, in terms of actual screen dimensions, the unit should fit, it can't because it needs an additional inch or so. However, all that in mind, I still love the damn thing, especially for the fans, because playing on a stovetop of a laptop is never comfortable.
