Thinking about purchasing an Asus notebook. Looks like xoticpc has some pretty good reviews. Anyone have any issues dealing with them or is all good?

Also, has anyone had xoticpc price match computerupgrade king?

    Thanks!

If you get a customized laptop, especially in regards to CPU upgrades, always remember that if you need warranty service, send it back to your retailer first. They need to remove the custom parts before sending to Asus for service, else you will lose your upgrades should Asus feel they need to replace the unit. I had a few headache cases like this involving XoticPC.

I'd also suggest looking at GentechPC. My experiences with Ken have been great.

You might not realize this but when you add an ASUS, Alienware, or MSI laptop to our shopping cart, a 4% discount is automatically passed to you. We keep our list price 4% higher in order to abide by the manufacturer's Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policy. You can always expect at least 4% better price on the laptop by itself if you buy from us versus XoticPC. You will also get discounted prices on the upgrades themselves. We keep 1000+ laptops in stock and for more than 80% of orders we do have stock on hand in order to ship within 1-2 days even when the computer is fully customized. We have maintained nearly a 100% feedback on eBay with over 6,000 unique reviews. Because we have always relied on selling platforms (first eBay and now Amazon), we have not attempted to solicit much of any reviews for our website nor have we really pushed website sales until now. You might not think we have a lot of reviews and are reputable but we are. Just review our 6,000 eBay reviews which is your best source of information since that is where we got started and that is where you will find the bulk of our reviews.

Any price anyone ever gives you on a system (excluding Sager), we will beat it by 1%. Therefore, if you feel compelled to get a quote from someone that matches or beats our price then just take it back to us for the extra discount. You see, we are forced to sell higher than we would like with many of the manufacturers because of MAP policy and we can afford to provide you additional discount that noone can touch. For example our credit card price for Alienware M18x Dual 680M is $2879 (MSRP $3099) and XoticPC price is $2999.

P.S. Why were you so compelled to shop our price around anyway? Did you have a bad experience or is it just a assumption that our company is not as reputable as XoticPC.
