    Any more info than just that? Did you uninstall the old one first? Did you do a registry clean with CCleaner?

    Your lucky because it sucks really bad. Microsoft pushed it on my G73jw and had to go back.

    Its part of the automatic update. And everytime im installing it, it says it not compatible with the system.

    Do you have the exact error message?
    Otherwise remove it first in the "Add Remove Programs" and try the installation then again.

    I also had to go back....this live 2011 is a sucky piece of crap.
    To go back I just ran a restore point form a day before and all is good.

    Go to Start,all programs,accessories,system tools, system restore.
    Pick a point from before and let it restore your laptop to that point.

    To the OP - I have the newest version of Windows Live 2011 installed and I went through my Installed Updates and check for updates several times and I am currently NOT being offered the update you're referring to. I will continue to watch for the update to see if I have any problems.

    @unpilot,
    I don't agree in your opinion of Windows Live 2011. The connectivity with Facebook specifically has jumped considerably between the 2010 and 2011 version.

    I would like to agree...however I "Updated" to live 2011. After I could not send or receive email. Well I could receive email I just could not open and read it.

    When trying to send a email....to a person in my contact list who I had sent a email many times before....I got a error msg saying this address could not be verified please try again.

    Trying to open a email gave me a error msg even more cryptic than that.

    I suppose I could have spent a few hours mucking around with it trying to get it to work.....but I just restored to the older version.
