Hmmm have you run any programs to check up on the hdd and/or something software/malware related?

Id run the chkdsk utility, Microsoft Security Essentials, and Active Hard Disk Monitor

    I have a C300 128GB SSD and ST9500420AS 500GB HDD

Im running in high performance but will check power settings now.

Ok in high performance it says turn off hard disk.
20 mintues on battery and 20 mintues on plugged in
    Could this be doing it?????

    Hi antisniperspy
I would change the 'turn off hard disk' to never if I were you. Especially for de SSD. SSD controllers need or use the idle time to do their maintenance on the 'used nand' (garbage collection, trim). But you could check the Crucial forums for that. For a 'sandforce drive' like mine it definitely should be set to 'never'.

    Yours digitally

It looks to me that your Seagate momentus is your system disk.

I just updated and speed increase was about 10mb/s. Data seems to transfer between ssd and itself a little faster and noise is the same. I guess we will see if it happens in another 2 months.

Just had it happen two more times over the past week. It seems to happen randomly when I open up a brand new instance of Internet Explorer. Anyone else have any ideas. This is the only problem I have with this computer and I can usally figure out anything with computers.

EDIT wow this is really frustrating as it has happened twice in the past three hours.
