Ive been getting more and more annoyed by tripping over the HDMI cable i use when i want to watch something on my HDTV (laptop is on the other side of the room), so i began looking into wireless HDMI solutions, but came up only with really poor and expensive products (resolutions up to 1450x1050 and huge boxes for over 400$ which is just insane). I looked into the Sibeam that the G73JW is supposed to have and the Intels wireless HDMI technology but i cant find them actually selling it separately (only found descriptions and photos of their chipsets).
So does anyone know of any good (1920x1080 resolution and if its perhaps possible to be built into the laptop or at least not too huge if its external) and reasonably priced (under 200$ would be nice) products i could use for my G73JH?

Maybe you should look into these:

    HP Wireless TV Connect: LINK

you'd have to wait for the release though

Or maybe wait for cheaper ones to come out.

Or maybe rearrange stuff so that your laptop's near the HDTV

this seems like a pretty good and relatively cheap option by asus.
dunno if its out yet, i think its about to be released.

link - WiCast:Wireless 1080p Broadcast for Much Less

update: according to engadet coming this September 15h

n looks like the <1ms response time will be great for gaming unlike the intel solution..

Thanks for the links, i was actually looking for something already available, but it seams theres nothing out yet that would fit my needs, so ill have to wait till one of these is released. Shouldnt be long if engadget is right :).

The only "cheap" solutions I know of are media players like WD TV Live which can stream any content on your network to your TV. However, this doesn't let you use your PC on your TV, just gives you access to some media files.

Time to rearrange the living room!
