So it's been bugging me. I have good internet at home, but it's always been a little slow. So I checked out the router that I have and it seems it's a 802.11b/g but the network cards we have in the g73 are 802.11n correct? Does this mean I should have a 802.11n supported router?
I've never thought about it till now. And I'm a little uneducated on the whole topic so any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers

To get the best N speeds, you would need a new router + wifi mini card for the laptop, like say an Intel 6200.

The G73 works with N Routers. I am Using a Netgear WNDR 3700 Duel Band Router and I get great speeds from this setup. I do not get slow downs from the 3 other systems and TV working from the same Router.
But I will say in less you have a heavy load at your Home the G router is still quite a lot faster than your internet connection, So if you are not moving large files around you will not see any speed increase from your Internet by going to a N Router.
But if you are going to or are Streaming Video like NetFlicks and or have a XBOX 360 online playing , or any setup like the above then I think you would see a benefit By getting a good N Router.
But do some research before you buy as there are N Routers out in the wild that do not work as good as some of the G Routers. That is why I got the Netgear . After trying 4 other brands and types this one was the best for me and it has been working great for 7 months without a flaw!
