My first and last recommendation would be the Logitech wireless G930.

I use them EVERY DAY for my work IP phone, movies, music, and gaming, and they are FANTASTIC.

Audio quality is excellent, the new Logitech Gaming Software has fixed all of the issues with the original driver package, and the battery life is excellent.

The headset has 7.1 surround support (and yes, the headset is represented in windows as a 7.1 device), and the audio quality (to me at least - I'm not an audiophile) is amazing.

I got mine for I think around $130, but they are on sale from time to time and you can occasionally find a set for under $100.

Other people have mentioned other options in another thread, but I will firmly stand behind my recommendation.

These things are well made, durable, comfortable for LONG periods (I wear them for 8 hour stretches some days), and they sound great.
