Hey guys. I was thinking about partitioning the hard drive and installing XP on the second partition. I have a few questions.

    1. Is it worth it?
    2. Any chance I can do damage to the sometimes-finicky G73?
    3. Is it as simple as it seems?
    4. Is there an easier way to run older games and programs (that are not compatible with Win7) than Partitioning?

    Thanks guys!

Seems like it'd be a better thing to either try running the games in compatibility mode or upgrading to one of the pro versions for the Win XP compatibility than it would to partition off the HD and install XP just for some old games.

It's not worth it, W7 can run anything in XP compatibility mode. I haven't heard of any cases where people felt the need to have both OS's.

It's just software, so why not try it? Load up gparted and resize things ... or just format one of the two drives and start fresh. Whatever. It's just software, and easily fixed with a fresh format if all goes to hell.
