Ok so when i got my laptop back from the screen replacement, the rubber pads on the LCD bezel were coming off on the bottom. So i asked the guy to give me new pads. So instead they gave me pads on the bottom of the bezel that dont stick out. They are flush against the bezel but the ones on the top are regular pads that stick out. So anyway i thought the entire point of these pads are to protect the screen kinda when the lid is closed. Would this be a problem or am i just being paranoid.

you are not paranoid, either make your own pads, or get a correct replacement. Few trips with laptop in a bag and a book next to it and you'll be looking at keyboard marks on the display for the rest of your life :/
Though I mas admit that there seems to be a lot more room than on other laptops so it will survive much more punishment... -
the top pads are still there, only the bottom ones are flush against the bezel.
Basically the bottom left and right ones. The rest of the pads are all there. -

The pads don't do anything except prevent a bit of flex in the lid when some pressure is put on it while it's closed.
Would this be a problem (rubber pads)
