    hello friends, I want to ask about the asus G53, and asus g74, no matter what the version is.

    in fact if there is a drastic difference with the laptop's Performance?
    I heard G53 has a 2gb 560M which is much weaker than the g74's
    is that correct?

    i would like to know, because i want to recommend my cousin which he should take.. thanks :)

    If he doesn't mind the size, the G74SX non Best Buy version. both the G53SX and the G74SX from Best Buy have a 128-bit bus 560m which cripples it somewhat.

    A friend just got a G53 ( 1080P Screen , GTX560 )from an official retailer, not from Best Buy ( i live in France , no BB here ) : he got a 128b GPU.

    I wouldn't say the G53 2GB GT560 is "crippled". It is still a very good video card in perspective. However, the 1.5GB and 3GB are both 192bit video cards as opposed to the 2GB in G53.

    It all really comes down to screen size and portability preference. But, the G74 models are definitely more powerful.
