    hello
ive been looking through forums about the problems/bugs on the asus g73 and tested it on my laptop. only one ive been noticing is the fn+esc freeze issue. i do know i would have to update my bios to 209. im not techy about flashing usb drive into bootable usb drive. can somone be kind of enough to make a step by step how to do this? (yeah in know google is my friend but.. not sure what to search ) i belive my 4gb dark vader usb stick would appreciate your help!

p.s. while i was typing all that down ive gotten annoyed of the mistakes ive been making while pressing space bar a couple times for it to work, or some sort of delay. if any other problems continue i will for sure repost and edit this topic over and over!

There is a thread somewhere in here explaining step by step how to do it, search for 209 or bios....that's oughta get you what you need
and the space bar issue you're talking about is also one which is known.

you don't need to make a bootable usb drive to update the bios (that process is only needed to update your GPU's vbios).

There is a chance, that while trying to update your bios, you may brick your machine (i.e. it refuses to turn on after the flashing). You will have to RMA if that happens, so use this at your own risk.

    1. Get a clean usb drive (FAT 32 formatted).
    2. Put the bios file (i.e. G73JhAS.209) in the usb drive's root folder (download it from Asus's G73 support page).
    3. Attach the usb drive to the bottom left usb slot and reboot.
    4. Once the PC is booting up press DEL key to enter into Bios.
    5. Navigate to Asus easy flash...and use the program to browse to your usb drive, and it should show the G73JhAS.209 file there.
    6. After the installation is done (the progress bar should show 100%). Wait for 10 seconds and power down the machine (by holding the power button longer than 5 seconds).

    Do NOT USE WINFLASH.

Bear in mind the fact that in order to completely eliminate the keyboard lag, you would have to disable the touchpad completely from the Bios, and use an external usb mouse instead. They are no other 100% workaround available yet. You can also try updating your synaptics drivers (which are known to mitigate the keyboard lag somewhat).
