Hi. today i just received my 28 inch monitor "HannsG HZ281HPB". It supports resolution up to 1920x1200. However, i cant get ccc to set a display of that much. the max it does is 1920x1080. also in games, i cant select 1920x1080. the max it lets me set is 1600x900. is there any way to fix this? i am using the 10.10 ati drivers from ati themselves. i got vbios 93 and 211 bios.

    Hello,

It sounds like you're viewing the display in Clone Mode: Meaning you see the "desktop" on both monitors. - In this mode the highest resolution available is dictated by the highest resultion support by one or the other monitors. Meaning - Your G73 internal monitor can only support 1600x900 and in clone mode the external monitor resolution will be forced to that resolution.

In Extended Mode: You can seperate the monitor resolutions. This extends your desktop - as such you'll see the desktop on the G73 Internal Monitor and a seperate desktop (without the start button and taskbar) on the External Monitor. The quick way to switch modes is using the Fn+F8 button combination. Pressing it until you see the LCD>HDMI with arrows (If I remember correctly - I don't have it setup in front of me to say for sure). The external monitor will have the same background but will not have the start button and taskbar when in Extended Mode.

There are other settings available within the ATI CCC software - You can look at this Dual Monitor FAQ from ATI that discusses some of the ATI CCC dual monitor Features.

    Hope I didn't confuse you.

    In Peace and Agape,
    Trav...
