    hi just bought a g73 bout a week ago and been reading about all the problems people have been having with updates, divers etc, i want to update everything bios, graphics drivers etc.. so my question is what should i update that are safe to? things i defitnately want to update are bios,vbios and graphics drivers, which versions should i update to that are "safe", 10.1 graphics drivers? and bios 211? what are advantages/disadvantages etc...

    Everything that is "safe" is on asus's website page for the G73jh, appearently the vbios downclocks your card though to something more stable..... if you wanna do that. Im currently running everything stock except CCC 10.8, which im not even sure im running, ive got a bug saying mi still on 10.7 appearently, but I RMAd my laptop to asus once, they replaced a fan and a gpu aswell as my power supply.

    So I wouldnt update anything unless your having issue, if its running smooth dont bother.

    It all comes down to if you get a working g73 or not apparently.

    I'm currently using bios 206 with ati drivers 10.8. 10.8 was specifically made to fix any issues the g73 has. It seems to work for some and not for some people.

    don't worry though, the chances of you getting a screwy g73 is like 5%

    edit - click on the vbios beta link in my sig for an official fix that will come out soon.

    Just a quick question, out of the 3 options from the amd website for the 10.8, which one do I have to download? Thank you

    I have not had any problems with my g73. Update the drivers and hope for the best :p
