Okay I have a question. On the asus g74 how do you clean the vents or fans. Do I just get the compressed air and just blow it in one side and dust come out the other end?

    With compressed air.

First I clean those 4 small intake holes bellow screen. Not sure if that is really required but I do it.
Than I open upgrade bay and blow compressed air into those 2 big exhaust wents at back of laptop. Use short bursts of compressed air.
With opened upgrade bay most of air you blow out of exhaust will be thrown out through upgrade bay.

Here is video of guy cleaning that way G73 but same thing is for G74:

I did this first time on my G74 after it was only 4 months old and load temperatures dropped for 10-12'C both on CPU and GPU.
It seem G74 like to suck in lot of dust :)
