    So i noticed many g750jz users indicate they have 880m gpu's and others write 880mX gpu's . is it just a common typo or there are some asus g750jz units that come with regular gtx 880m and others with gtx 880mx ?

    Yep, there is no room in the 880m for higher clocks or units to unlock.
