    hi i have some games and music making software installed to my laptop. i want to back them up on my external hdd so that i cant install a fresh copy of windows. in the past i tried to copy some games but when i try to play them on another laptop i get reg errors and dll errors. so i just want to know how i can i back them up in such a way that i can restore them fully on a different laptop or new os. thanks.

    some games can be copied to another laptop with just the files an it works ,, but the games that doesn't work you can download some dll file that they demand which in some cases work or you have to leave the files and re-install the game again
