 If I was a troll. I would have his haircut.
But on a serious note, he is trolling and after people who want to know a simple answer get called ignorant, dumb and stupid I believe its not worth the hassle. After all when you have a fantastic repaste like some of us (and soon to be DCx once his arm is twisted far enough) you wont care about 2D! In my eyes..

i love how proud you are with your temperatures

Gotta represent brother, you gotta be cool to be cool.

I guess you still won't believe me if I would show the Asus vBios tag in Bios. It isn't worth to convince somebody here.
MSI owners are definately more friendly and have more knowledge than some of you.
Please close this thread and let the problems alive. Lol -
the problems won't be solved anyway
sometimes you've got to get used to them -
I've done several repastes, my chip just runs hot. I know it was repasted correctly, and that my heatsink was flush... it's the chip revision. I'm not the only one who has this "problem". I've got one of the first 5870m revisions, when they were having production issues (at TSMC) and quality control was a little more lax. I did have a later revision (ran cooler) but I had (unrelated) mobo problems and RMA'd it before they had the vbios fix. When it came back, I had an earlier revision of the card, and a new motherboard.
Since the whole process actually took about 3 months (it got shipped back DOA or not fixed a few times), I figured I'd rather stick with a hot laptop than none at all. It was also at the start of the semester, and I use it for teaching. I'll probably RMA the laptop near the end of the warranty period (broken touchpad) and stay on asus until they fix it or replace it. They had several occasions to fix it when I went through the 3 months (and 5 RMAs)... and since they couldn't get their act together and do it properly on THEIR time, they'll have to do it on MY time now. -
You come in here, demonstrate some technique of how to get things working, and then refuse to be bothered with even posting a link about using the Profiles or provide any explanation.
What a useless waste of time, posts, and humanity. Thank you for spreading more FUD. -
I'm bored about all the flame and fake calls.
But yeah, it's easier to explain the repaste over and over.
-
Get pasted your boring.

This is why they have hyperlinks! Just paste us a thread or two, and be done with it.
