hello all, in the market for a gaming laptop, had an order on the ENVY 15 but shipping delays made me cancel the order - now i am down to three laptops: the MSI GX 640, and two versions of the ASUS G73, the best buy sitting sealed in box on my room, and the G73 i can get from tigerdirect for $1550 (the 640 gig hd version - with BING which i have never used it may go down to around $1400) - question is this: i do not mind the 1600 x 900 screen on the best buy verision, but have read that it is a low quality screen as far as colors and blacks (i know this is subjective it's just that having spent $1300 on it - $1199 plus tax), i don't want to get a subpar screen) - the standard 1080 p screen at tigerdirect and xoticpc, powerpc, etc.... is the best i can get with the G73.

so do i just forget ASUS and get the GX640 (have not read many in depth comments about the screen quality (resolution is one thing, panel quality is another and in my opinion much more important). any thoughts ?

If screen quality is of GREAT importance to you, I'd say get the A1 from GentechPC.

Well, if you do the 12.3% CB it brings the price down to $1360. I was tempted for the best buy one too. But hearing the screen isnt so good, and knowing I'm picky when it comes to screens. I chose the Tiger Direct route, just ordered it yesterday.

60 bucks more because of BB taxes, and you get 2 320gb 7200rpm HDDs, bluetooth, 8gb of ram, the 1year accidental, 2yr global warranty and the 1080p screen.

So just logically, the BB model wouldn't be that great of a buy as of now.
