I suggest IC Diamond Thermal Compound as this is testing around 4-7 degree decrease in heat exchange.

There really is no best thermal paste. You can ask which ONE is the best but you'll probably get different answers. Artic Silver 5, IC diamond, MX4, MX-3 and other thermal paste.

At my shop I stock arctic silver ceramique, arctic silver 5, radio shack brand, some cheap thermal compound from china (ibm brand) and ic diamond. I use the cheap stuff for old machines, dual cores, xbox 360's and ps3's and most computers get arctic silver, and the higher end laptops and desktops get ic diamond. IC Diamond is by far the best one in that list, it's a bit thicker than the rest and it cures in just a few hours. Though you'll notice a drop in your temps compared to arctic silver 5 (there's supposed to be a 3C difference).

    Buy ICD from ebay, it's fairly cheap there. There's IC7 and IC24, i've only tried IC7, i don't think IC24 is worth $20 for less than a 5g tube.

You can also check out their website.

If you want a large tube of arctic silver 5 i get my 12g tubes from best byte computers.

    Here's a link to that

The spec of some suggested Thermal paste that are out there:

    Prolimatech PK-3: 11.2 W/m-°C (On official site)

    Prolimatech PK-2: 10.2 W/m-°C (On official site)

    Prolimatech PK-1: 10.2 W/m-°C (On official site)

Arctic Silver 5: 8.7 W/m-K (not listed on the official site, I found it here)

Gelid Extreme: 8.5 W/m-K (On official site)

IC Diamond: 4.5 W/m-K (On official site)

    W/m-°C and W/m-K have a 1:1 ratio.
Only choose IC Diamond if the gap between the die and the copper plate is huge, otherwise, go for other thermal paste.
