    Hi All,

I'd like to upgrade my dvd drive in my g51jx-x3 to a blu-ray player. Does anyone have any advice and/or has anyone performed this upgrade? From what I can gather during my research it appears that it will take any standard 12.7mm sata blu-ray drive, but I'm confused by the sticker on my laptop b/c it says the motherboard is a g60jx and I'm wondering if that makes any difference. I've noticed that the Hitachi/LG CT21L is really cheap, would this work? Or maybe I should just go with an external blu-ray player...

    Any help, would be appreciated,

    thanks,
    z

this seems like it would work, but i can't figure out what the read spead on it is for bd-rom... i've looked everywhere, not sure if it is exactly the same as the ct121l. anyone know what the speed is? Would rather go with 6x
