I just did a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate but when I try to install the latest nVIDIA Driver it says no compatible graphics card found

what gives? I downloaded the driver from nVIDIA after I selected GeForce series 6 then GTX670

Got it! someone from the Asus forums wrote this :D

    Its a beta though :(

beta drivers are not always bad. I've had about an even split between WHQL (MS signed them) and beta on good, solid drivers.

The only time I'll avoid a driver these days is negative user feedback, which applies to both WHQL and beta.

the problem here is not WHQL is the fact that nVIDIA provides the desktop driver rather than the M version for the 6 series :(

Oh my bad - I see what you mean. That's odd for sure.

    Here you go.

    NVIDIA DRIVERS 304.48BETA

Make sure you always choose the verde driver - you'll see it when selecting the 600m series.

EDIT: It looks like the beta link you have above is correct - they wouldn't recognize your chip? Sorry I got confused on your meaning there.

everything is cool except for the Sound...

When I first opened the notebook out of the box and turned it on..

I noticed the sound wasn't as loud as my previous G73Sw

then I read in the ASUS forums everyone is having the same problem where the subwoofer doesn't kick in or you only get sound from 1 channel (I think the left channel is disabled) until you plugin a headphone then plug it out which is a temporary fix

I have the latest driver on the Drivers DVD but I am hesistant to try it since I just did a clean install of Windows and want to ensure that I download the next driver and install it CLEAN

do you have this problem and noticed the sound volume is too low and no subwoofer?
