    cant get sound from my G73jh

    Hey guys, I was messing around and downloading drivers and cant get sound from my speakers except from my sub on the underside of the laptop. I dont even know what drivers to install from ASUS's site. The realtek drivers or the creative drivers?

    when I try to install the realtec drivers its telling me "this model is not supported. SRS audio enhancements may not operate correctly for this device. The default settings will be installed

    Firstly uninstall the SRS software which you dont need and any Creative stuff you have installed.

    Then run this once to uninstall the software you have installed and restart. Then run it again to install the Realtek audio drivers and restart.

    Once the Realtek drivers are installed you will have sound as normal and you can install this which is the stock Creative drivers over the top of the Realtek audio drivers if you want to have the subwoofer working along with the bass settings. The creative stuff has been known to have problems but with the latest Realtek drivers I linked above you should be fine.

    thank goodness. Thanks, i was so confused with all the drivers out there to install. :confused2:

    Sweet Im back in action. Funny thing is just the sub was on for days now.. I did not notice ;(
